The 31-year-old moved to Portsmouth on a free at the end of the 98/99 season, but managed just eleven appearances with his new club, one against Town at Fratton Park last season in the 1-1 draw. |

Adam Tanner looks like he might join former comrades Mick Stockwell, Jason Dozzell and all the rest at Layer Road. The former Town star who is training with the Essex club appeared on the bench on Friday in a first team game at Leyton Orient and then turned out for the reserves on Saturday at Sittingbourne. Manager Steve Whitton said: "We'll have to see how the situation develops with Adam. He's just getting back into it after missing so much training. It would be silly not to have a look at him, and if he does impress, then we can't afford to let him go." |
